Hosted developer portals rent you your own docs every month — ReadMe Pro is $250/mo (billed annually), Mintlify Pro $450/mo, and key platforms put a paid gateway between you and your customers. Docs Portal Kit is different: docs portal + hashed API keys + prepaid usage metering + changelog, deployed on YOUR Cloudflare free tier in about 30 minutes. One payment of ฿1,490 — then it's yours, no monthly rent.
Get the kit — ฿1,490One zip, two deploy targets, zero npm dependencies — the worker is a single JavaScript file, the portal is a single static page, and your keys and usage data live in your own D1 database.
A zero-dependency Cloudflare Worker creates keys (shown once, stored only as SHA-256 hashes), validates them and refuses revoked or drained keys — 401 invalid, 403 revoked, 429 over quota. One fetch at the top of your handler.
Usage meters per key per day in your own D1. Quotas are prepaid credits, so no customer ever gets a surprise invoice — when credits run out the API answers 429 and they top up.
Quickstart, endpoint reference, error-code table, changelog and pricing — one static HTML file, no build step, your brand and colors. Host it on Cloudflare Pages free.
The pricing buttons point at YOUR Stripe or Lemon Squeezy payment link — no server-side payment keys, no revenue share. A customer pays, you issue or top up their key in two clicks.
Create keys, watch per-day usage bars, revoke and add credits from one page. Your admin token never leaves your browser's localStorage.
SETUP.md walks D1 → secret → worker → portal; CUSTOMIZE.md rebrands the portal; PLAYBOOK-14D takes you from deploy to the first paying API customer. Single-seller license included.
The docs stay yours. Hosted portals charge rent for your own documentation — ReadMe Pro is $250/month billed annually, Mintlify Pro $450/month. Here you deploy once on your own account and own every pixel, forever.
The traffic stays yours. Key platforms like Zuplo ($25/mo) sit a gateway between your API and its users and meter every request that passes through. This kit validates keys with one fetch from your own code — your API never moves.
The data stays yours. Keys (hashed) and usage records live in a D1 database inside your own Cloudflare account — not in a vendor dashboard you can't export.
Three steps from unzip to a live storefront. You need a free Cloudflare account, Node 18+, and a payment link from your own Stripe or Lemon Squeezy.
Create a D1 database, apply the two-table schema, set your ADMIN_TOKEN secret, run wrangler deploy. A health check is built in: /healthz answers ok.
One wrangler pages deploy puts the docs portal online — pages.dev or your own domain. Edit one HTML file to make it yours: name, colors, endpoints.
Paste your payment link into the pricing buttons. Add one fetch to your API handler that calls /v1/validate — done: keys enforced, usage metered.
No monthly plan, no per-key fee, no revenue share.

A single-seller commercial license: one buyer (a person or a company) uses the kit for APIs they sell themselves, on unlimited projects and domains. The docs you publish, the keys you issue and your customer relationships are yours. Reselling or redistributing the kit files themselves is not allowed — each seller needs their own license.
Yes — every v1.x update is free. Re-download any time from your download page with your email and password. If a v2.0 ever ships, existing buyers get a clear upgrade path — never a surprise paywall.
If the kit doesn't fit how you work, email zicula06@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full — the zip is yours to keep or delete. One refund per purchase; we only ask for optional feedback.
A free Cloudflare account, Node 18+ with wrangler, an API that actually works (this kit is the storefront around it, not the API itself), and a payment link from your own Stripe or Lemon Squeezy. No server-side Stripe keys, no webhook code.
Honestly: partially. Checkout runs on your payment link; after a customer pays, you create or top up their key in the owner console — two clicks, no webhook integration to build or maintain. Fully automated provisioning would need a payment webhook, which is deliberately out of scope for v1.
Use them if they fit — they are good products. But hosted portals rent monthly, and gateway platforms move your traffic through their edge. This kit exists for the seller who wants docs + keys + metering in one self-hosted lump, for one payment, with the data in their own account.
